Job Purpose Be part of Emirates Engineering Design Organisation , an integral function within Engineering Technical Services operating under UAE GCAA and EASA Part-21J approvals. Working alongside Fleet Technical Management, the team develops approved design data for aircraft and component changes, modifications and minor repairs through a robust design assurance system. Here, you will collaborate with highly skilled engineers, manufacturers and key stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant and practical engineering solutions that support the continuing airworthiness, reliability and operational excellence of one of the world’s most advanced aircraft fleets. As an Engineering Design Officer , you will play a key role in preparing design and substantiation data for changes and repairs on large aeroplanes in accordance with the applicable regulatory requirements, Emirates Design Organisation Handbook, and related Procedures. In this role, you will: Support the delivery of design engineering activities in accordance with the terms of Emirates Design Organisation approvals, ensuring compliance with the approval certificate and Design Organisation Handbook. Develop engineering drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software platforms in support of aircraft changes and repairs, and compile documentation for the classification of changes to type certificates, repairs, compliance inspections and certification test plans, as required.
